Nothing is more distressing to animal rescue volunteers than those pets they've been unable to place in homes. It's a case of supply outpacing demand, but unlike a retail business, this excess at rescue shelters means the possible euthanizing of unwanted animals.
The One Step Animal Rescue (O.S.C.A.R.), a non-profit rescue in Sparta, sent an urgent plea for two dogs currently for adoption. Each week, this facility rescues homeless animals -- this week it plans to shelter 16 more. Every dog that is rescued, allows the shelter is able to save another.
Here are two dogs in desperate need of a loving home. If you can open your heart and home to one -- or both -- call 973-652-3969, e-mail lilfurryanimals@yahoo.com or visit www.OscarAnimalRescue.org.
