Here is Elly Mae from Eleventh Hour Rescue. This special 3-year-old girl has the cutest ears. They stick straight up like two satellite dishes pointed in your direction and ready to listen in for your every command. What’s not to love about them? She is smart, attentive and affectionate. This pretty girl is everyone’s favorite at adoption events, but she has yet to find that “one and only” family to love her and take her home. John Boy is a 3-year-old black Lab/Border Collie mix. Other than sharing his name with a famous Walton from a TV show, John Boys’ claim to fame is that he can jump. He can jump so high he can touch the sky. It’s as if he’s jumping on a trampoline, but he’s doing it without any equipment. Full of energy, this boy loves to run and play so a generously sized backyard with a VERY high fence would be ideal. He has a soft mouth like a Retriever and takes treats very gently. Although a bit shy at first, he will quickly warm up to you. Please adopt him, and at bedtime every night you can say “Good Night John Boy”. Meet Banjo, the perfect beagle mix from Eleventh Hour Rescue. We were lucky enough to interview him before he headed out for a car ride, which is one of his favorite things to do. Here is what he had to say: “My name is Banjo and I'm around 2 years old. I'm a small guy, weighing in around 25 pounds, but I was told good things come in small packages! I'm originally from Georgia and these nice kind folks from New Jersey rescued me before I was going to be put to sleep. I'm not exactly sure what that means, but it doesn't sound too good. I'm not your typical beagle. I'm pretty low key. I love to hang with other dogs and I love to explore. I have a great sniffer! I'm good on leash, house-trained, crate-trained and not destructive at all. I'm not a big barker either - I know beagles get a bad rap for that! I also passed basic obedience with flying colors. I know many commands which I can thank my foster mom for - she's a trainer! If you're in the market for the perfect Beagle, then I would love to join your family”.
