Easter is ideal time to expand your four-legged family by adopting a shelter pet in need

Easter is a good time of year celebrate the renewal spring brings by adopting a new four-legged family member. I adopted Emma, my 14-year-old Yorkshire Terrier 10 years ago when she was 4 years old. Other than annoying her with holiday photos (see above), she is the reigning queen of our household -- as it should be, according to Emma.

Here are some pets looking for good homes. If you are considering adding a pet to your household, please consider adoption -- these are great animals who need -- and deserve -- a new start.
Bunnie is a new arrival at Furever Home Dog Rescue. And, we are very happy she is here because she is such a joy! Bunnie is approximately 1 year old and is a Labrador mix. Bunnie is a friendly, gentle, good-natured girl who enjoys being in the company of people and other dogs. This happy, affectionate girl is in search of a family to love. She would be a wonderful addition to any family. To make her yours, e-mail FureverHomeRescue@att.net and request an adoption application.
Meet JWOW from Eleventh Hour Rescue.  This is a beautiful German Shepherd female mix.  She is under 2 years old, and is a stunning beauty.  She’s always happy and has a very pleasant demeanor.   Due to allergies, her owner had to give her up and she now is available for adoption.  She is less than 50 ponds, and a perfect size for any home environment.  To see more about JWOW, to see all Eleventh Hour Resuce pets, to check upcoming events, or to make a donation, visit  www.ehrdogs.org.
