Sorry for the delay in posting. Spring is a busy time for us all and it's easy to put things off. One thing you shouldn't put off is adopting a pet if adding a four-legged member to your family is on your list of "things to do."
Fortunately, for those of us living in Morris County, there are many reputable animal shelters and rescue groups from which to adopt a pet. Don't think it's only about cats or dogs, either. Many offer other pets, including birds, rabbits, hamsters, guinea pigs and more.
Claudine Cheung, a member of the Friends of the Randolph Animal Pound, tells me there all all types of cats available now at the shelter, which is located at 1345 Sussex Turnpike in Randolph. Many of these animals already are in foster care and can be placed in permanent homes immediately.
An adoption event is planned for Saturday, May 14, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. If you need more information, call Cheung at 973-886-1485 or e-mail Doggie54@optonline.net.
These four kittens are in foster care. They love dogs, cats and other animals. They will be at the special adoption event on May 14. |
